I had no idea that synchronized swimming was such hard work. It all looks so easy from a spectator's viewpoint during competition. I have come away from this amazing experience with an honest appreciation for this fantastic sport."

Hanne Lore Koehler is a renowned painter best known for her artistic excellence in sport, landscape and children’s portraits. Her portfolio of work is vast. Apart from being known for many of her works including the “Tour De France”, “Triple Play” and “Tracey”, her commissioned works are found in private collections all over the world. “ Lori” portrays her subjects with detailed accuracy yet injects her own unique style into an image.

Her watercolors are characterized by a wet on wet background which matures to a more definable foreground and finally, with detailed brushwork, concentrates on a focal point and ripens. This not only creates a feeling of depth but seems to guide the viewer through a gamut of emotions, challenging the imagination, yet unveiling the artist's soul.
